Building the Digital Branch for the 21st Century: A Webinar with David Lee King

Submitted by Daniel A. Freeman on September 2, 2009 - 9:32am

We're proud to announce that in collaboration with WebJunction, ALA TechSource will be hosting a Webinar with recent Library Technology Reports author David Lee King.

David is the author of our most recent issue, Building the Digital Branch: Guidelines for Transforming Your Library Website and we'll be holding this exclusive event on Tuesday, September 15th at 2:00 p.m. Eastern. This will be a chance for him to expand on the material covered in his LTR and answer questions from attendees.

David will use the event explore the process his web team used at Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library to transform their outdated website into a 21st century digital branch. He will cover the differences between a website and a digital branch and describe the redesign process--everything from the introductory planning stages of overhauling a website to the process of actually "doing stuff" at the new digital branch. Finally, he'll discuss the never-ending process of planning for the future.

Registration for the event is available through WebJunction, and you can view a sample chapter and make purchases of David's issue of Library Technology Reports through our website.

Don't miss your chance to attend this exciting event!
